We were delighted to attend a Networking Event for Alzheimer Cafes in the UK and Ireland yesterday. We met Bere Meisen who founded the Alzheimer Cafe movement in Holland back in 1995. Since then, more than 9,000 Cafe’s have been set up in Holland, and 45+ in the UK and Ireland, with the number ever increasing! Alzheimer Cafe’s are an essential source of support and EDUCATION for people with dementia and their families. Please check out the photos in our EVENTS section, share our page, spread the word, and attend your local Alzheimer Cafe to see just how beneficial they can be.
